How this rating was reached

Score of 80/100 sits two points above Genshin Impact (78) because a character's Light Cone sits on a separate banner with its own randomization, so a single want spans two independent randomized systems, and duplicates feed a further power track. Far below Diablo Immortal (98) because content is clearable without spending — the randomization gates optional power rather than access. No cost-to-progress figure: HoYoverse publishes none, and third-party estimates vary by assumption (pity depth, fifty-fifty outcome, currency-pack tier). The spread is the answer. Sourcing caveat stated openly: HoYoverse publishes drop rates and pity thresholds in-game on the banner details panel, not on a linkable web page. The rates referenced come from independent sites reporting those in-game figures, so this is not presented as an official published-odds page. hasEnding is false: the story ships version by version and is ongoing.

What the monetization actually looks like

Characters and Light Cones are obtained by spending premium currency on randomized pulls, called warping. The structure matches the studio's other game closely: a low base rate for the top rarity, a hard pity that guarantees one after a set number of pulls, and a fifty-fifty mechanic determining whether the guaranteed pull is the featured character or a different one.

Where this differs from Genshin Impact, and why the score is higher

A character's weapon — the Light Cone — sits on its own separate banner with its own randomization. So wanting one specific character fully equipped means engaging with two independent randomized systems rather than one, and duplicate copies feed a further power track.

That is a real structural difference rather than a matter of degree, and it is worth two points over Genshin. It stays far below the top of our scale because the game's content is clearable without spending: the randomization gates optional power, not access.

Why no cost figure

HoYoverse publishes no cost-to-progress figure, and third-party estimates of what a top-rarity character really costs vary by which assumptions the author picks — how deep into pity you go, whether the fifty-fifty is won, which currency pack is used. The spread is the honest answer, so the field stays empty.

One transparency note about our own sourcing: the drop rates and pity thresholds are published by HoYoverse in-game, on the banner details panel, rather than on a web page we can link. Our figures come from independent sites reporting those in-game numbers, and we would rather say so than imply we read them off an official page.

No ending, by design

The story is released version by version and is ongoing. There is no final chapter — a design fact, not a gap in our research.
